Welcome! Yes, that is my actual legal name! My middle name is Braden, which I’ve gone by since birth. You’ll see me sign me emails with my full legal name, and I welcome either!
I’m originally from the suburbs of Chicago, and my wife was born and raised in Austin and graduated from UT. We met in Europe while serving with a Christian non-profit and got married in 2024. We love to travel together, be outdoors, create a welcoming space to those around us, and host friends. In Austin, you might catch us at a jazz club, a volleyball court, a cocktail lounge, or jogging Town Lake.

Hugh Hughes Bookkeeping is a fully remote bookkeeping firm based in Austin, TX. We are a small practice set on removing the stressful, confusing, time-consuming burden of bookkeeping from the shoulders of busy business owners. You started your company because you’re passionate about your company… you didn’t start it so you manage its never-ending books!
Well I did! I started my company because I believe good bookkeeping will bring clarity to your business where there is confusion. It will open doors for you, not close them. And I love seeing business owners regain their time (whether it is invested back into the business or regained personal time!), find peace of mind knowing their books are in good hands and producing results for their business, and gain new-found confidence that fuels business growth.
I specialize in Quickbooks Online and provide simple, efficient, and reliable bookkeeping you can count on. I require my clients to operate in QuickBooks Online (no worries if you’re not already in QBO). I can help you with QBO set up (if you don’t yet have a file), repair and cleanup (if your books are a mess), and catch up (if you’ve simply gotten behind this year).
I make up the entirety of Hugh Hughes Bookkeeping (so you know exactly who you’re working with), yet I am part of a nationwide consortium of thousands of bookkeepers and CPAs—practically unlimited wisdom at my disposal… and yours.
